I would like to commend a company called Haeir (www.haeir.net), maker of appliances, air conditioners, etc.  This past summer I purchased an Haeir air conditioner (the type you fit in a window opening) and noticed that the remote controller supplied with the unit is also embedded with the braille code for the blind or visually impaired so that they can easily operate the air conditioner using the remote controller.  A very nice and socially responsible initiative on their part.
